Your cards turn into armies
Each round you get some gold and four cards from your own 15-card deck. Every card you buy drops a pack of troops into one of your six rows.

Three copies make a star
Buy the same troop three times and its row goes up to two stars. The troops grow bigger with 40% more health and damage, and they pick up an ability, like a stun for Geese. Three more copies make it three stars.

Then you watch them collide
When you both press Ready, the armies charge and you can only watch, so the fight is won or lost in the shop. Whoever has troops left wins the round, and the other player loses one of five hearts.
104 cards to build a deck from
There are 92 troop cards and 12 potions, each with its own painted art. These four troops are the ones we never get tired of watching.
Boom Chickens
They run straight at the enemy and blow up. A card of eleven of them costs one gold.
Dragons
A Dragon card gives you two of them. They fly above the fight and breathe fire that hits a whole group of troops at once.
Giants
Giants are slow and huge, and at two stars every swing of the club stuns the troops it hits for a second.
Geese
A Geese card gives you eighteen of them for two gold. At two stars every hit stuns for almost a second, which makes a wall of geese very hard to push through.
900
troops on the field at once
Armies only grow during a match. By the last rounds there are 600 to 900 troops fighting, and the camera pulls back to fit all of them.
Pick a commander
You choose one of six before the match starts. Each one gives your army a bonus for the whole match and has one power you can pay for once a round.

Marshal Clucksworth
Egg Drop gives one row 25% more troops.

Queen Aurelia
Knighthood gives one row more health and damage.

Captain Redbeard
Treasure Map draws you two more cards.

Dr. Gearwick
Booby Trap makes a row explode when its troops fall.

Morticia the Pale
Grave Pact makes a row summon a skeleton when its troops fall.

Grizzla Wildmane
Feast moves one row closer to its next star.
